Guest guest
Have lamented the fact that cancer occured on the dominent side especially since I learned that even with the less invasive SNB one has to be soooooooooo careful about lymphodermia. I see the surgeon next week and WILL be discussing that with him. Any who, I was reading one of my BC books, last night and it was suggested that one elevate the affected arm over the head, for awhile, a couple of times a day, to encourage lymph drainage, hopefully preventing problems before they begin. Any who, today I am cutting in the ceiling on a painting job I am involved in, hubby's idea, but guess who is doing most of it? The work requires that I have the dominent arm over my head. Maybe a job as a painter is in order. Get paid for having that arm over my head. Hmmmmmmm, could make ceilings my speciality! Ruth

Guest guest
Thanks, Ruth, for the suggestion. You are so funny and I appreciate the humor. I have been trying to do mild exercises several times a day but the swelling persists under my arm. I would love to be a painter. The pay usually is pretty good, too. Hugs to you.
