Dominent side SNB

Have lamented the fact that cancer occured on the dominent side

especially since I learned that even with the less invasive SNB one

has to be soooooooooo careful about lymphodermia. I see the surgeon

next week and WILL be discussing that with him. Any who, I was

reading one of my BC books, last night and it was suggested that one

elevate the affected arm over the head, for awhile, a couple of times

a day, to encourage lymph drainage, hopefully preventing problems

before they begin. Any who, today I am cutting in the ceiling on a

painting job I am involved in, hubby's idea, but guess who is doing

most of it? The work requires that I have the dominent arm over my

head. Maybe a job as a painter is in order. Get paid for having that

arm over my head. Hmmmmmmm, could make ceilings my speciality!

Thanks, Ruth, for the suggestion. You are so funny and I appreciate the humor.

I have been trying to do mild exercises several times a day but the swelling

persists under my arm.

I would love to be a painter. The pay usually is pretty good, too.

Hugs to you.
