Guest guest
I'm at the " uncurable, but treatable " stage IV and have decided not to consider it a death sentence but rather a chronic disease. If it were Untreatable, I'd have to find another perspective to keep me going I suppose. Balancing teatments with quality of life seems sensible and, at this point, things seem to be stable while I remain on hormonal treatments (Zoladex and Tamoxifen). It sure would be nice to not have to continue dealing with cancer all the time, but I do feel healthy and am enjoying being here for my children as they grow up. Monthly trips to the oncologist are now my " hobby. " I also decided not to get myself too worried before follow up visits because whatever the oncologist has to report, has alreaady been " happening " in my body since before the follow-up even if it's new to my ears. The scans are a very good tool for managing cancer because they can catch things long before I'd ever feel them so I can deal with potential problems quickly and live a long and relatively healthy life. I hope that you results show that you are stable. Big hugs, Kathy in Tokyo > , > I was diagnosed in May 1990 with infiltrating/invasive ductal carcinoma. Nuclear grade II Histologic grade II. With one bad lymph node. The lymph node involved was enlarged and extensively involved by the malignant tumor cells. > > There IS hope. Breast cancer is not the death sentence it was once thought to be. Sit back, take a deep breath and try to relax. Take it one day at a time or even hour by hour. My cancer was Stage II. There are ladies in our Stage IV sister group that are leading fairly normal lives. A lot of them have to stay on some sort of chemo for the rest of their lives. We are here for. You are in my prayers. > Hugs > nne > Breast Cancer Patients Soul Mates for Life > http://www.geocities.com/chucky5741/breastcancerpatients.html > BreastCancerStories.com > http://www.breastcancerstories.com/content/view/433/161/ > Angel Feather Loomer > www.angelfeatherloomer.blogspot.com > Check out my other ornaments at > www.geocities.com/chucky5741/bcornament.html > Lots of info and gifts at: > www.cancerclub.com > Hi, I'm new and scared > > Has anyone here had invasive poorly differentiated ductal carcinoma? > If so, please tell me I have a chance to live. > I've just been dx through a biopsy on Wed. > I'm going to have a MRI next Friday and then see the surgeon the > following Friday. > PLEASE someone give me hope here. Guest guest
Kathy: Thanks for the new perspective. In my church service this morning, the minister was using his son as an illustration. He said his son was tested and found to be a genius. He told his son that the difference between normal intelligience and genius is that the genius reads or sees the situation differently and because of that asks different questions. That is what you did for me. YOU ARE A GENIUS! Thanks for sharing. Jan K Aurelia Ang angaurelia@...> wrote: Wow Kathy! I salute your very wise and fantastic attitude!
