Hi all, new member here. Sorry to be brief but have ALOT of reearch to

do as my Dr appt is in about 22 hours,,,,,,

My TSH is 3.313, my FT4 is .75 (normal range her for this lab starts

at .78), my HDL is 33!

I have PCOS and am T2 Diabetic on Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Soloution.

Need to talk to Dr's about Thyroid being low, they seem to think it is

fne right now but I have so many symptoms.

I am VERY sensitive to all medcations. I know I need to ask for a FT3

and that Armour is regarded well among those with hypothyroid at

treating all areas. I also know the american Endicrinology.... says

that anything above TSH 3 is now considered subclinical hypothy and

needs to be treated.

Looking for suggestions, facts for Dr's, tests I need, medications

that work well with no side effects....

Thanks

Sorry.

Here is the link to a spreadsheet comparing my labs from teh same lab so normals

are the

same over the past year.

Update as far as Dr B and managing diabetes. In 35 days I have lost 14lbs and

have

brought my sugars down to avg of 90's! Before they were in teh 220's. Have also

been able

to lessen my long acting insulin dosages from 30u 1x a day to 8u 2x day! I have

just

started on Metformin again to try to reduce my insulin needs more as I have

about 50

more lbs to go.

Your T4 is low and needing supplemented.. with a T4 like yours it

does not matter what the TSH is..

As far as T4 meds go, 50mcg of Synthroid is considered the

hypoallergenic version..( no dyes etc) some people find they need to

cut pills and /or take multiple pills to use the 50mcg pill to reach

the dose they need.

Also Synthyroid contains sulphites and most generics do not.. but

having med sensitivities you really need to try and track down what

the sensitivity is.. Armour may be from a more natural source but it

still contains fillers.
