Guest guest
My public thanks to for jumping in today, when we set each other up as silent co-owners a few days ago to be able to cover each others groups' technical stuff in case of emergencies, I sure never figured that something would come up this quick... I really appreciate your being able to jump in and change settings to cope with the last 24 hours of 'fun' Chris!!!! Just remember, repeat after me everyone.... Yahoo is free... Yahoo is free... Yahoo is free.... hehehehe So, for me... I'm an early to bed, early to rise type person, that's why it was really great that was able to help out last night, a few dupes were coming through before I shut down last night.. but nothing compared to what I was facing this morning. My normal 100 to 150 first morning emails was over 800 AND my account had been suspended for bouncing.... As for the day to day..... well, in an effort to not further jinx the project I'm working on I'll simply say that I've been fighting with computer networking since 8 this morning, it's now 6 pm.... I have the 'top priority' machines for this project configured, that part was a 'slam dunk', but haven't been able to patch my machines in the way that I want yet.... I'll keep fighting with it tomorrow.... everyone cross your fingers that my geeky stubbornness wins and I can do what I want to with this technical mess!!! All my machines are on the old side (over 6 years) and I'm also working with older gadgets and trying to compensate for a couple of components that I haven't been able to scrounge up that would make this easier, so it's been a challenge trying to get the older stuff working with the new equipment that was brought in for the other end of the house... ....
