Guest guest
5.3, you should be on thyroid meds. Did they test your frees T4 & T3? If not getting those tested as well and post her with the ref: ranges. They changed the ranges several years ago and most dtrs don't go by them but the range is .3 - 3.3 or 3.5. So according to the new range you are hypo! Now I don't know if hypo and hives go together. It could be a food allergy or an allergy of some sort. hugs Micki Health Eating and Living Together http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/he2gether_/ http://mouster71.blogspot.com/ www.stopthethyroidmadness.com hives concern Hi, I'm I have been having hives daily and rather severely most days, since mid January this year. Now its late March, and I am really frustrated. I wonder if anyone has pursued hypothyroid as the cause? The test for thyroid (TSH) showing at the high end of the normal range? My test was 5.3, the range was .4 to 5.5. SInce there is a history of hypothyroid in the family, I think this might be a possibility the root of my hives? ANyone have thoughts? Guest guest
This is a very strong feature of Hashimoto's Disease, I can tell you that. Those antibodies do all kinds of thing, even if the thyroid hormones themselves are still so called " normal " . I've had numerous attacks of mysterious tingling and itching that comes out of nowhere, then mysteriously goes away. So many Hashi's people do have this. Have you been tested for Hashi's antibodies as a cause for low thyroid? It's always important to find out which form of thyroid diseased caused your low thyroid. hives concern > Hi, I'm > > I have been having hives daily and rather severely most days, since > mid January this year. Guest guest
, That is interesting on foods and hashi's. I think I will tell my sister that. She has so meny issues. A friend of mine thinks I probably have it to, because my dtr says my thyroid acts like hashimotos but I don't have the antibodies. I used ot have wicked mood swings too. Not since getting put on armour. Still working on the adrenal issues, but they are coming along too. hugs Micki Health Eating and Living Together http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/he2gether_/ http://mouster71.blogspot.com/ www.stopthethyroidmadness.com Re: hives concern Yes, she should be on something, and us Hashi's people develop soooo many sensitivities, including to foods and such.
