Guest guest
How is everybody this snowy wknd here in tn? we got our first snow last nite (which is really not much for nashville we usually get ice) anyway my family and i thank you all for your continued support and prayers and need them again for my moms sister. i got a confirmation call this morning that moms sis does have lung cancer. she had her biopsy wed. they said its inoperable because the mass is too close to her bronchial tubes. they are gonna try to do chemo. whats bad is she is the one i have probably mentioned before that has custody of my cousins 4 kids, just got diagnosed with neuropathy a couple months ago, and now this. whats worse is obviously she cant keep custody of the kids with what shes about to go thru even though they all are a big help to her right now. she is heartbroken. we are all afraid of what might happen to them because she said the courts get to choose what parent they go to if not split between the 2. the judge who gave her custody retired. she and my uncle have worked so hard to give those kids a stable life instead of the back and forth of their mom walking in and out of their life, the dad just got outta jail a couple yrs ago but is least making an effort. mom just told me they also did xrays of her legs because of some kind of cancer that might be tied to this condition?? Guest guest
Mystrylade: So sorry to hear about your mom. The lung cancer is bad enough let alone all the problems with the kids, custody, etc. My dad had lung cancer. The day they did the surgery to see how bad it was, the doctor came out and basically told us they just sewed him back up. The tumor had wrapped itself around the diaphram (sp?) and was behind his heart. It was quite a struggle for Dad. He is the one who taught me how to be courageous with this cancer thing. He passed away in 1999, living almost two years past what the doctors told him he would. I just pray everyday that God will give some researcher a cure for cancer of all types so we or our loved one do not have to hear the words " You have cancer " ever again. My prayers are with you and your mom and family for everything you mentioned. Let me know if I can be of help to you. Guest guest
thx jan. actually its my aunt with lung cancer. (moms sister) my mom is a yr survivor of breast cancer as we speak. she has an infected reconstructed breast and they are watching her other breast now because it has nodules in it. my aunt is usually the strong one out of moms family in mississippi but she is so worn out with the kids, the neuropathy, now the lung cancer. my grandfather died 8 yrs ago with lung cancer and he lived 6 yrs past when they said he would die. bad thing is when his came back it had nowhere to go but up because he had lost his legs prior to gangrene. Guest guest
its ok its been a rough yr last yr period with all that mom has went thru with her reconstruction, infection recently, prior with her having surgery back in july for a clogged artery in her neck that was over 90% blocked, chemo, etc and my dad is terminally ill too. its so exhausting. mom actually left yesterday to go be with her sister and the rest of the family. Guest guest
: What can I say? There isn't much that could get worse? I don't think it could. If you need to vent, cry, whine, or any other range of emotions, please feel free to do it here. I wish I could give you a hug and shoulder to cry on in person but I will have to let the e-mail do that for me. My prayers have been given for you. Guest guest
thx very much we need all we can get. i was talking to my friends the other day and whats pitiful is you know when people say " you dont understand etc " when they are going thru something? bad thing is ive probably been there done that and do unfortunately. thats why i almost went into psychology instead of interior design last yr when i went back to school because my friends call me their personal shrink anyways and i may as well get pd for it lol me and mom go to the same church and i thank god for them everyday too because they have lifted a huge weight off me too. her sunday school class has been helping me take her to her appts etc since its so overwhelming with her and dad both. my best friend has been gravely sick herself since may and in and out of the hosp. and shes only 29 and a single mom of a 9 yr old. what a mess but i learned along time ago to do the usual one day at a time Jan Koelsch jkoelsch1950@...> wrote: : What can I say?
