In Sept of 2002 my Mom passed away the day before I was to have my 5th Chemo Treatment.. It was hard for me to go on because I was living alone at the time...but I went on and this Memorial Day Week-end it will be 5 years since my operation... My story is published in the spiral bound Pink Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook ( Speical Edition ) in the pink pages A-10. This past birthday in 2006 was a little sad our dog got real sick and had to go to the vets and spend 2 days there...We saw her the next day with an IV and she was happy...Then she had a partial blood transfusion and passed away on Dec 13th, 2006... at the age of 7. I had my left breast mastectomy on December 11, 2006. That was the day I guess that I will celebrate my cancer free anniversary. Losing a beloved pet is as difficult as losing a human loved one. My beloved Ellie Mae passed away several years ago from complications in a procedure to clean out her ears. She was ten years old at the time. I still miss her. My Stubby helps but here is never a dog that can replace her. Hope you have a good time with the new puppy. I'm sure he will be well-loved and spoiled.
