You can go to this site & send them an email & they will help you out. www.IRONOVERLOAD.org When my son was about 10 (he's 26 now) he passed out in school & they told me he was anemic & I gave him iron. I had NO CLUE what damage I could have done to him. Now that I have a computer & know how to research I checkout EVERYTHING a doctor tells me. The iron people are specialists & I would trust them way over any of the regular docs. I would be interested to checkout any links that tell you ferritin should be over 50. I believe your iron levels are just fine & you do not need to worry about them at all. Concentrate on the stuff that is really off. IRON is one of the things we can get too much of.

After I had my heart attack, would you believe every pain med the docs gave me for my knee, were, "NOT to taken by people with heart problems".... I finally brought my 801 medications book to the docs office & showed him & got some stuff that was OK for people with heart problems. He was a great doc, he said,"You are going to live a long life, you never believe me & you do your research,"....lol. He retired so I am on the hunt for a new one.
