My 3 month checkup yesterday was a surprise...first, I forgot it was a

complete checkup (chemobrain, ok?) and second, he took me off Tamoxifen after 2

years and switched me to Femara. As some of you know, I'm having foot surgery

end of March, and the Lupron has put me in menopause again so it's off the

Tamoxifen for me. I really never had a problem with it, but why gamble, right?

Any words about Femara? I know most of you are Arimidex, etc.

I have to have an MRI of my brain, a complete PET/CT scan, a CAT Scan of my

neck and jaw (swollen lymph we're watching for about 9 months) and skull

x-rays. I had some vision issues lately and I'm a little worried. (jeeezzzz)

Life is an amazing thing, isn't it? Here I'm " chugging " along, living and

loving life, and BOOM! Reality is back. What a time for a puppy!!!! (I love

him to death though)

My best to you all and keep those fingers crossed as I have for many of you

over the years,

Hi ,

I may have responded already to you (if I did, I plead

Chemobrain as well :)). I am working on my third

month of Femera 2.5 and I have had no side effects. I

never had the Tamoxifen but the possibilities of blood

clots in the legs was enough to make me go for the

Femera.

Cheers,

Anita
