Is it okay to drink some coffee or tea while taking cytomel (2-3 cups per day), has anyone experienced bad effects from this? Guest guest Posted March 22, 2007 Report Share Posted March 22, 2007 There isn't a bad reaction between caffeine and cytomel, but the caffeine is adding stress to your adrenals, not really a good thing... The increase in appetite is quite likely from the cytomel... if that increase in available T3 is helping your body rev up that will increase your hunger. Choose healthy foods, balanced meals, not just carbs.. if that is what you crave...
