Hi everyone,

I'm new - just recently discovered this group, have been on synthroid

for a few years now and just started to take cytomel as well.

Is it okay to drink some coffee or tea while taking cytomel (2-3 cups

per day), has anyone experienced bad effects from this?

Also, I am terribly hungry these past few days and I'm pretty sure it's

the cytomel.....Thanks, Esti

There isn't a bad reaction between caffeine and cytomel, but the caffeine

is adding stress to your adrenals, not really a good thing...

The increase in appetite is quite likely from the cytomel... if that

increase in available T3 is helping your body rev up that will increase

your hunger. Choose healthy foods, balanced meals, not just carbs.. if

that is what you crave...
