Can someone just quickly explain the difference between a syndrome and

an association? I'm trying to write that CHARGE is a syndrome because

it is set of non random symptoms that occur together due to a genetic

anomaly whereas.an association, which is what CHARGE was once

considered is a set of random symptoms that appear to occur together.

Am I on the right track?

Chantelle my understanding is that when a genetic causation is identified

for an association (like the CHD7 finding), it can then be considered

" officially " a syndrome.
