Robin:

I really appreciate your sharing. That makes this website really helpful,

with each sharing experiences and information.

I take another medication at bedtime, but if it would help, I will ask my

pharmacist about the interaction with the other medication or change it to

supper time. Something has to give.

Thanks much.

I am on my second month of Arimidex. The first time I took it I got

really weak, and felt like I could not function. Plus it really made

me sleepy. After a few days of that I started taking it at around 9

PM, closer to bed time. That way I figured maybe I could sleep off

some of the side affects :-)

I too have pain in my left knee and headaches. But now that I have

been taking it for awhile, my headaches are less often. I have spent

most of my life having headaches. My knee does not hurt every day

like it did at first. I still get hot flashes.

I do not want to be on this drug either, besides the fact that it is

so expensive, and I know it is bad for my bones. Before getting

started on it I got a bone density test which shown my bones are not

in such good shape, plus almost 30 years ago I had a blood clot in my

leg, and I am worried about that recurring. Thought I was told not to

worry about that, sure stroke runs in my family. At any rate I won't

see my doctor till March. Then I am planning on discussing this

again. However my family doctor said this is a really good drug. She

did say to stick with it awhile . I know the specialist was just

going to switch me to something else if I refused to take this.

However the blood clot chances are even more with other drugs.

Maybe if you can stand to take it awhile the side affects will

lessen. And maybe you could try taking it at night. Just thought I

would tell you what has worked for me so far.
