Guest guest
Hi Girls - I posted this last night but Yahoo seems to have goobled it up somehwere so here goes again. Can someone tell me the name of the internet site that you type in your pathology diax and it translates it into " human " ?? I have seen it here before, but tried to go through the posts and couldn't locate it. Secondly, has anyone ever heard of a tumor being completely removed with a biopsy?? My friend opted for a double mast and then they told her that the tumor was " not there " . she does however have a 3mm tumor in her lymph node (3 of 11 pos) which they are saying is DCIS. Another question = I thought DCIS meant it wasn't invasive, contained. I must be wrong since it went from her breast to her nodes???? Any thoughs? Hugs! After mast, my path report came back with no malignancy in breast tissue or lymphs. HUH???? I had a mastectomy for no reason???? I'm discounting the possibility that the original diagnosis was incorrect, since both the mammogram and stereotactic mammotome biopsy clearly showed cancer in two places in the same breast, so that leaves two other possibilities: First, the stereotactic mammotome biopsy (kinda like a mini lumpectomy) got all the cells from the two separate locations, or, just maybe, I experienced a mini miracle of healing. I'm a woman of strong faith and had many like minded folks praying for me. I don't regret my mast decision, because I do (did?) have breast cancer and am happy to get that thing in the trash can.
