Guest guest
hi, it's lorena here. has anyone heard about prayer shawls? my mother in law made one for me when i went in for my mastectomy. it's just a normal shawl but prayers are said as the shawl is being knitted or crocheted. there is a book called the prayer shawl ministry - reaching those in need. it's published by leisure arts. i belong to a native american center here in MA. i am thinking of starting up a knitting/crochet group to make these shawls for fellow b/c patients or for anyone who is suffering from a debilitating disease. my came as a huge comfort to me. the night after my mastectomy, my husband brought it to the hospital for me. it had arrived in the mail that day. i just wanted to share this with you all. lorena You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. Guest guest
Yes, , I make them. My sister introduced me to them about 2 years ago. I will have to see if I can find the website, that I like, on them. I, also, have two that were made for me, one by my best friend and the other by my sister.
