Guest guest
Hi everyone- I haven't posted here in eons (darn job is bound and determined to keep me running in circles) but I have a question and wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. I don't remember this in all my time of reading here, but people have changed since I last posted. I am now going to a doc who agreed to prescribe Armour for me. He did not write Dispense as Written, so I got generic. I know this is not supposed to be a difference between the name brand and generic but is there? Also, I have been having crashing headaches since I switched from generic synthroid and some nausea. Is this a normal side effect? Also - any thoughts on when I should be getting the good effects from switching from synthetic to natural? Thanks! Carol
Guest guest
Hi Carol I'm in Australia where things are different but from being on these groups, most people I know have said they do not do well on generic (not sure why that is) and always ask for name brand I started Armour 10 months ago after 12 years on synthetic T4. I started losing weight immediately and am now back to my pre-hypo weight, I lost around 50 pounds altogether The energy and brain fog also started clearing up I heard , and not sure where the formula comes from it takes a month for every year you have been undiagnosed/under treated/wrongly treated to get well so I reckon 20 years for me, so will take close to 2 years Everyone is different and it depends if you have other stuff going on that needs attention like adrenals/ferritin/iron/women's hormones etc etc etc............Meleese in Oz xxx ----- Original Message ----- From: Carol M. s Hi everyone- I haven't posted here in eons (darn job is bound and determined to keep me running in circles) but I have a question and wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. Guest guest
Hi Carol, everyone is different and will react as such. I made the switch from synthetic levoxyl/cyto to Armour awhile back and felt like crap. When I had my labs, they were up to the EXACT levels of the synthetic but I was cold, achy and bloated. I went back to the synthetic and feel much better...
