Water pipe break closes OEMS/TS

Regulatory Services Building Closed

The Exchange Building in Austin, which houses DSHS Regulatory

programs, is closed due to flooding from a water pipe break early

June 13.

Recovery efforts will continue at least through the weekend. The

building will remain closed until damage is assessed and reopening

is approved by city and state officials.

Regulatory staff are continuing limited operations from other

locations, but they do not have access to regulatory records or

incoming mail and have limited access to e-mail.

Exchange Building phones and fax machines are not working. Callers

to main Regulatory program numbers will be directed to call 512-458-

7111 to reach a temporary operations center.

Licenses: If you have a certification or license that is due to

expire and have submitted your required documentation and payment,

your certification or license will not lapse.

Complaints: If you need to file a complaint against a DSHS licensee

or certificant about a harmful or threatening situation, please call
