I love this book, too and agree that it, like most

books, are better than the movies! I couldn't put

DaVinci Code down and read it in three days.

" The Notebook " was a rare movie that actually followed

the book. " Holes " by Louis Sachar is another

excellent book turned into an excellent movie. If a

book comes out in the theaters, my boys have to read

the book first before I take them to see the

movie...we've read " Holes " , " How to Eat Fried Worms " ,

" Eragon " and of course, all the Harry Potters. I'm

glad I have boys that enjoy reading as much as I do.

What's fun now, is when they read a book, they talk

about how it would or would not make a good movie.

As you can tell, I read a lot more children's books

than adult books. That's okay, though. At least our

local librarians know us by name, now!

Have a great weekend.

I loved The Notebook. I went to a book signing and had my copy signed. The movie surprised me with how closely it followed. I love the Harry Potter movies, but haven't read the books.

Kudos for getting your kids interested in reading!
