Guest guest
Topper, I am glad you raised enough to continue for this year. Regarding my primary doctor He is open to talking about my health and is even glad I am knowledgeable but, he thinks he knows best when it comes to ordering tests and keeping watch on my thyroid. I have never been to an endocrinologist but I did go to sermon( not right word but close enough) I met with one who is the local endo and he believe just testing the TSH will keep an eye on the performance of the thyroid but understamds how debilitating it can get at times. He is most likely to be the one that my primary will refer me to. I have not made an appointment yet got busy with bill paying and grocery shopping. I will try to remember for Monday. Thanks for the input. And I truly believe that you should consider writing that book, your terminology may get laughs but it also makes perfect sense and is understandable. So how far have you gotten on that sci fi thyroid book, send me an excerp I think thats the right word. Robin
Guest guest
Hearing that endo is a TSH only doc doesn't thrill me... It might be hard to convince him that you want the other tests too but it would be worth the effort to try... hard.... I think you meant the word seminar.. I had to sit and think a minute about that one! hehehehe Writing is hard to do... I LOVE sitting down and 'entering the world' of my story.. but don't get there as often as I'd like.... I'm not really ready to share any of the story yet... You know what I have the hardest time with? The conversations.. when two characters are talking... Need to polish that more. But I guess I'm gonna have to get over the sharing part one of these days, or how will anyone ever get a chance to read it?? hehehhe I'm pretty happy that I'm gonna be around another year myself.. I had no idea how depressed I was getting over it... I must be addicted to you guys or something! hehehe Topper () On Fri, 02 Mar 2007 21:22:53 -0000 " ladybirdrobi " ladybirdrobi@...> writes: > Topper, > I am glad you raised enough to continue for this year. > Regarding > my primary doctor He is open to talking about my health and is even > > glad I am knowledgeable but, he thinks he knows best when it comes > to > ordering tests and keeping watch on my thyroid. Guest guest
Topper, Dialogue is one of the most difficult parts about writing. I am writing a book about my daughter’s ordeal with severe Scoliosis – more of a “parent to parent” guide on how to cope with all the tests, surgeries and aftermath... I use A LOT of dialogue in the book – to bring the reader in the room with us, to hear our nervous chatter or laugh with us during times of comic relief. I write the exact way I talk in normal conversation which can be very animated and find that works the best -- just write it as it is and the worry about “polishing’ it up later. I actually have an online “memoir” type writing group I started over a year ago and moderate it, but we have all slacked off in the past six months. If anyone would like to join let me know! Sue Hearing that endo is a TSH only doc doesn't thrill me... It might be hard to convince him that you want the other tests too but it would be worth the effort to try... hard....
