Hey Guys, this message is forwarded from the American Academy of

Pediatrics Dept. of Federal Affairs. Use this information to create

your own letters of advocacy for EMS-C. Forward it to any pediatricians

or other physicians you know that might support EMS-C. Distribute it to

your colleagues. EMS-C must be reauthorized by Congress as it has been

zeroed out in the President's 2008 budget.

Dear pediatricians who care about EMSC,

At last, we are ready to unleash your advocacy efforts! As you know,

legislation was introduced yesterday in the House and Senate to

reauthorize the EMSC program. We now have bill numbers - we were able

to retain S. 60 in the Senate, and the House bill is H.R. 2464. A

letter has been posted on the AAP Federal Affairs website that you can

send to your Senators and Representative. Please share this letter with

your colleagues, department, and any other pediatricians you encounter.

The letter may and should be personalized as much as you wish, so feel

free to add anecdotes, etc.
