Ah.. my leg...

My usual routine is to go to be at 9 and watch TV for an hour and then

shut down for the night.... so I'm in bed, watching LOST (one of my favs)

and my left ankle was itching... so I scratched it with the big toe on my

right foot... and was in a good scratch session when I realized that my

right leg wasn't seized.. it just decided to release...I'd laid down for

about an half hour earlier in the day and it hadn't helped....

So.. I get up this morning and I'm about half way to the bathroom when I

realize it's not seized up.. but boy or boy do the quads on that side

hurt!!!!

So I'm being a good girl and paying attention to each step and how I

stand today to keep everything in balance....

I sure which I knew what caused this.. I mean the actual for sure thing..

is it a reaction to synthetic T4? (I've had this happened with Synthroid,

Levothyroxine and, now, with Eltroxin.. so I don't think it's a brand

related thing..... some day I'll find out.. right I want to see if it

happens in the next six months or so while taking ONLY natural thyroid

and Cytomel (synthetic T3). In the past, on only those.. no problems..

Don't know if I'm low on potassium... I take good multi's but they

multi's aren't very high in potassium... I'd have to check the foods that

I'm eating to see how they rate... it might be that that is what is going

on.... for all the most recent 'tests' I've also been challenged as far

as food variety.. so it might very well be linked.. you never know unless

you share what you learn with others, right??

It's different for everyone... how mess up things have to get before you

get scared enough to stand up and say 'hey, this ain't right, gotta fix

it!'. I went through all the stuff that I could handle.. from not being

able to walk on my own, to chronic pain, to severe insomnia... even the

loss of muscle mass/strength and hair and ambition... the last straw for

me was the not breathing...

I think part of it for me was that I was so alone.. no one I knew even

believed me when I spoke of symptoms... you guys, well, not all of you,

but many... you get the same lines.. it's all in your head, you're crazy,

you're imagining it... you're making it up.... everybody hurts what

makes you so special? You start to doubt yourself.. So much of it is

stuff that you can't SEE... you can't see that you are sooooo tired that

you could just curl up in a ball right where you stand and not move...

soo tired that you are hungry but it's too much work to get up to get

something to eat, even a candy bar 10 feet away!!!!! So tired, so much in

pain....... I once spent three days in this chair not eating, not

drinking... cuz I hurt soooo bad that I didn't want to even go to the

bathroom.. I just sat here until my body reached a point where I dared

get up to go to the bathroom... and sad to say that know one here noticed

that I wasn't even coming out of this room (office) to go to bed at

night....

We all need each other here... if for no other reason then to see that

it's REAL!!

Once you know it is real.. then you know it's time to get on the battle

dress and win for a change!!!
