Wow they sent you home after one day? Here in Scotland they keep you in

the hospital for 5 to 10 days..

Are you in the states? What part and is this normal practice over there?

Wow 5-10 days. Back in 1990 when I had my mastectomy I was in for 2 1/2 days.

They were at one time doing what was a called a " drive through mastectomy " . You

went home the same day. But if I remember right that is against the law now. At

least here in Illinois.

Yes, it is the normal stay for a simple mastectomy. And I live

in Arizona, USA. Ten 1/2 years ago I had a lobe of my lung

removed and they sent me home on the 3rd day! Our insurance

is very high here and they don't keep you very long at all.

I'm doing good, just very sore right now. Thanks for your

reply.
