Do I see an endo or my primary

So a few people think it would be in my thyroid's best interest to be

checked out since that PA thought she felt it slighlty swollen. So

should I have my primary doc refer me to an endo or just see my primary?

if you wrote a book I'd buy it somehow or ask someone to buy it

for me. Wish I could help you but if I could you would have to trust

me with snail mail as I don't have paypal or credit card to use online.

and right now I am behind on some of my utilities SSI doesn't pay very

well or should I say the recipients don't do well but those on their

payroll do erally well.

Money is tight for a lot of us here Robin, I know that.. when our health

sucks it's harder to do a lot of things... I appreciate the fact that

you care though... it means a lot.

I'm working on a sci fi now... not spending as much time on it as I'd

like... and I've been getting urged for a couple of years now to do a non

fiction on thyroid....

I'm not a professional writer, obviously, but I do get passionate when I

start writing about thyroid stuff (the sci fi I'm writing actually

revolves around thyroid, believe it or not!). Some folks have said that

I've been able to say things in a way that finally hits home with them

and it 'clicks'.. that gives them the start they need to dig further into

it and learn more about their thyroid stuff and their 'new bodies'.....

The hardest part, I think, with having a wonky thyroid and not feeling

well, is not understanding what is happening and why... and then not

having anyone to sit down with and talk about it... Our first choice is

family and friends, as it should be, but, sad to say, unless they have

dealt with thyroid disorder it's hard for them to empathize and

understand when they can't SEE what is broken and what it's doing to

us.....

I never thought I'd be involved in a support group for years, not

really.... but at what point to I just quietly turn off the computer and

walk away? When will it happen that there won't be anyone coming along

that has questions, or be hurting, or scared?

This isn't the only support group.. there are thousands of them.

ThyroPhoenix isn't the only website either, there are many thousands of

those... but we seem to be filling a niche, new folks coming by all the

time...

I feel that I need to stay around a while yet.

I valui you highly because your terminology is so easy to

understand. I will even volunteer to do proof reading or spell

checking whichever you asked me to do. I love reading sci fi fantasy

too. And you ried that in with a thyroid problem. I have to read

this when you get it ready.
