Question regarding med increase

Hi guys. As you know, my doctor recently changed my meds by adding 1/2

grain of Armour and reducing the Cytomel. Yesterday I stared with an

additional 1/4 grain and took the lower dose of Cytomel and I felt the

best I have in several weeks. I didn't think you could feel a

difference so quickly.

Today not thinking, I took 1/2 grain and now my heart has been racing,

and I am exhausted. I usually take the Cytomel about now, but I am

afraid to take it. Should I skip it or take it later when things have

calmed down? Tomorrow I will reduce the Armour back to 1/4.

You have all been so helpful, thank you!

T3 has a very short half life. Documents list it at 1 day, but others will say it's less. That means that one day after you consume it, half of it is left in the system. One day later, it will be half of that half etc. etc. until it is insignificant.

Do you know how long it takes for the Cytomel to be completely gone? I wonder when I should increase the Armour to the additional 1/4 grain. I do not want a repeat of what happened on Saturday.

Lyme: There are really no hard and fast rules on this. You can read different takes on this..but its important to know, that this really depends on a few different things. How long and how much... You may have built up WAY too much t3 with the cytomel..which may take two weeks to burn off, or it may be sooner. Suffice it to say...you are gonna want to wait two weeks before you add any more Armour anyway..so this should be easy to do. ~E:) COE 12 Steppin' JP wrote: T3 has a very short half life.
