Guest guest
Elisa, I have lupus and Hashimoto's. And I have cardiovascular disease. I don't know about rheumatoid arth., but lupus patients have a propensity to heart disease in several different ways, especially because lupus can cause inflammation in the arteries. All the best with your biopsies and cardiologist visit! Maureen PrattAOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com. Guest guest
The good news is the biopsies were done yesterday. I've given birth twice, and had both hips totally replaced, so I knew I'd get through whatever physical discomfort that was involved. He took 6 biopsies, 3 from each nodule. He said each one is solid with some fluid. Results should be back by mid-next week. Current labs are all in the normal ranges. The endocrinologist recommends I see a cardiologist, because of my heart palpitations, which he feels have nothing to do with my thyroid. Can I ask if anyone else here have Rheumatoid Arthritis with thyroid and cardiac issues? I've scheduled a cardio appt. for next Tuesday. Gotta get to the bottom of all this. Everyone have a good weekend! Elisa
