Guest guest
I was on Aromasin for just one month and could't stand how it was making me feel!!!!!! HOt flashes, constipation, moodiness, and worst of all it made my neuropathy worse!!! I would ;have tried it longer but the nueropathy was terrible!!!!!!!!! I went yesterday to my oncon, I told ;him I didn't want to take any of them!!!! He looked at me very sternly and said YOu really need to be on one of them! I would not hesitate to tell you not take them if I didn't think you needed to! So I started the arimidex last night! If it is like the aromasin I will start feeling the effects next week! I just hope it will work for me without to much side effects!!! uck He really wants me to take tomoxifin because it is not as hard on your bones as the inhibitors. But I smoke (am trying to quit). Have cut down a bunch but I know I need to quit. It is just so hard to when nothing else in you life seems to be going to good!!! I will try this arimidex and if it causes me pain I will stop it also!!! I don't want a reocurrance but dang I also want to have quiality of life also!!!! Guest guest
My Onc tried for nine months to get me to quit smoking, he finally gave up in september 2006. I have been on Tamoxifen for a little over a year now but my onc. never said anything about tamoxifen + nicotine. What is your doctor trying to tell you? I just thought my doc wanted me to quit cause it's BAD!!! He even put me on 100mg's of Zoloft to help me quit. It didn't help. Still smoking. I have not experienced any joint pain with Tamoxifen, only weight gain. Ask MORE questions!!! kimmy > > I was on Aromasin for just one month and could't stand how it was > making me feel!!!!!! Guest guest
Dear Steph, If you are going to continue to smoke thinking it is adding to your quality of life, you are so misguided. Smoking is going to add for the cancer to come back in some way or another or you might get C.O.P.D., which is a sad quality of life because you have a hard time breathing. Your quality of life should be more then smoking. You are a strong person and you can do this. No one else will be able to stop you from smoking, just yourself. I hope you do it for YOU.
