Guest guest
Hi everyone. I am back from my follow-up. Below is my original post: " Hi everyone. I have Hashimoto's. My continued symptoms are fatigue, sluggishness, heavy periods, low body temp, cold, some muscle weakness, high cholesterol, inability to lose weight. I also have some heart palpitations which in the past was helped when the meds were increased. My labs from last week are: TSH .03 (.4-4.5) Free T3 323 (230-420) Free T4 .8 (.8-1.8) I am currently on Armour and Cytomel. What do you make of these labs and what changes do think need to made in my meds? Do my labs justify the symptoms I have? I have a follow-up with a new doctor on Thursday morning. Any advice is greatly appreciated. " At the office this morning my pulse was 112, I don't know why. The doctor increased the Armour by 1/2 grain and decreased the Cytomel from 25mcg to 5 mcg. Does this sound like it will help or is the Armour increase too low? My testosterone levels were high, so they did another test and advised me to see the gyno. Thanks for all your advice, it really helps!

You need to make sure you have follow up labs done though and I would expect another 1/2 grain increase if needed.. As far as the high pulse goes? How are you taking your meds? All at once? Spread through out the day? Kats3boys
Guest guest
Hi kats3boys. My pulse is rarely high, so I don't know why it happened. I usually take the Armour when I wake up and the Cytomel between 11:00 and 11:30 am. Do you think it would be best to reduce the Cytomel by 1/2 of the 25mcg for a few days before going to 5mcg? I do not want to crash. Thanks again for all of your help! > > > > Hi everyone. I am back from my follow-up. Below is my original > post: > > > > " Hi everyone. I have Hashimoto's. Guest guest
You might do best if you do gradually taper down on the cytomel... sue Hi kats3boys. That may be a good idea to stop the crash but do realize as the T4 moves up you need to lower that. Kats3boys
