Guest guest
Well! OK. I've been taking the Metformin XR (500mg, twice a day) for about three months. Here are my latest labs: Blood Glucose: 155 (range 75 - 110) (WAS 237) TL Cholesterol: 177 (range 20-200) (WAS 204) Triglycerides: 124 (range 30 - 200) (WAS 176) HDL: 31 (range 32-96) (WAS 36) LDL (calculated): 121 (range 65-129) (WAS 133) Cholest./Hdl Ratio: 5.7 (range 2.0 - 4.0) (WAS 5.7) LDL/HDL Ratio: 3.9 (range 0.9 - 3.2) (WAS 3.7) HBA1C: 6.8 (WAS 9.5) Also, we did a C-Peptide. That was 4.3 (range 1.1 - 5.0) So it would appear I've got beta cells. always a good thing. Over all, not too shabby, I think! I'm working on getting the cholesterol ratios back in line, but they're not significantly bad, so I'm happy! Also - I've lost a total of 49 pounds - and THAT I'm ecstatic about! Guest guest
Since March, actually, so four months, really. I have a lot more weight to lose - but I'm not focusing on that. For now, knowing that I'm not lugging around the other 49 is good enough! I have some other issues that I have to work around, so having everything come into line nicely is gratifying - I hate having to take the meds - but, I recognize the necessity. I'll deal. ;oD Take Care C Re: Latest labs , You did all this in 3 months? That's impressive, at least to me. Mainly the weight loss! Guest guest
I think a kilo equals 2.2 lbs. So, you've lost almost 9 lbs since June.
