Guest guest
Judy, Amen, sister! Even when I've been on high-dose prednisone for lupus flares, I haven't gained tons of weight. It DOES boil down to the balance we strike with diet, exercise (EXTREMELY important) and keeping to our med/lab test/doc visits regimen. We might not have control over being hypothyroid, or having any other illness, but we DO have control over how we handle it -- and trying to find the right kind of exercise, as well as being honest and disciplined about diet, are two vital aspects of being able to achieve a decent quality of life.
