There's the choice between living or dying, really, because the longer you let the cancer go the more body parts it invades. I've only (so far) had the scare of stage 4 (still don't have all the answers) and I am in a couple of stage 4 forums. I would hate to live like they do. The majority have to live on chemo for the remainder of their lives. In earlier stages, the chemo takes a chunk out of your life but then you get to be better again. So, if the docs tell you that you have any chance of recurrance it'd be best to tackle it in the NOW, not wait a few months and then change your mind. It may be too late.
