Guest guest
Michele, I'm interested to see how is going to be in the mix of the group of us. Usually if it's just he and I out he tends to want to stay around me and have my attention to himself. I'm hoping that he makes a bond with the other older CHARGERs and wants to break away from me a little. Now that he is in deaf/signing enviorment in his home he expects me to be able to interpret everything going on for him. It exhausts me pretty quickly. There's time I wish for a tag along interpreter. It's going to be a blessing to have others around who can sign. I hate to admit this but no one else in our family know enough conversational sign to be able to have a flowing conversation with . Henry has tried but isn't good with retaining it. Dawn took classes but isn't around him enough to keep fresh with it. Outside imediate family no one even tries very much. Chip, , Chantelle, and some others have been emailing with and he is real excited about meeting them. > > - > > That's why I always bring someone else to attend to my kids. Guest guest
That will be so cool for to have true peers to sign with! That's one reason I have wanted Aubrie to learn sign - so she can communicate directly with her CHARGE peers. I think of them almost as siblings because they have more in common than peers - almost like siblings. They share genetic material - that makes them a real family in some ways.
