Guest guest
I had an IUD in for about 4 months, after the birth of my first child, when I was 19 yrs old (lightyrs ago, I'm 55 now). I bled uncontrollably almost the whole time I had it in, took it out myself, and that little problem ended. I hate those things. I then was on the pill of the time for 10 yrs, then a tubil. Derned if we do and derned if we don't. The tubil closes off the "high wire" supplies of th hormones made by the ovaries, so premenopause was hell for me, still is. I lost all my progesterone when very young, so the problems started with all the hormones by the time I was 30 or so. None of it is good for us, but neither would have been 4 more births, so I can't say which is better. I had a breakdown either way, partly because of hormonal changes, extreme, partly because of circumstances, and partly because of that waning thyroid that kept going up and swinging down rapidly, at the time. holy ouch batman!!
