Guest guest
Sounds like a colon problem. I have a pesky colon myself. But, I'm wondering if you may have Crohn's Disease or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (that's what I have, along with diverticulosis). Guest guest
Just lately I've been getting such awful abdominal pains about an hour or so after I eat a heavy meal. It's like midway up my abdomen and it just hurts something fierce. It's tender when you gently push on it. I don't know if it's diabetes related or maybe I have an ulcer or something. Anybody have this? I know I can ask my doctor but every time I go we are always so wrapped up in talking about controlling my diabetes, etc. that I tend to not want to mention new problems. Guest guest
- I have severe abdominal pains alot. I have diverticulosis/diverticulitis and that causes alot of pain. I have also read from people on this list that their meds causes alot of abdominal pain. I take metformin but it does not cause me any problems but does alot of other people. I did not even have a problem with the diahhrea that everyone talks about. Do you by any chance take that? Sorry you are in such pain! You did talk to your doctor didn't you? There's many things it could be. Speculating about what it could be and what tests you need is a useless exercise. You need a more thorough history, a careful physical exam, and what tests are appropriate after that. Never feel reluctant to tell your doctor about new problems. If your doctor is worth his/her salt, he/she will be angry at you for NOT telling. It always upsets me when patients keep new problems from me. I want to know about them. It's my job to hear about them and evaluate them. Ron
