Dear Chantelle,

I so agree with Michele. It has been a delight and inspiration to see you

grow stronger each day

as you direct your life, and as you make positive choices for yourself and

contributions to others.

---

I thought I might offer these words I just found after reading your post as

a suggestion for triumphing over those difficult times that come (for all of

us). If you and the counselor were able to identify the

source of the difficulty, it would still remain for you to find the path to

walk away from it.

I'm wondering if it's possible to skip the source part and just walk the

path to how you want to

feel. .

In all humor-I figure I don't have to put my nose in the diaper to know that

it stinks-if you get

my drift.

So, in terms that might jive with what you're going through, you might say-I

know it's making

me uncomfortable, so I'm taking myself in a different direction.

--

There's a great quote I wish I'd had my eye on over the course of my life.

It says:

" I can choose peace, rather than this. "

----

These are the words that I read following your post:

What’s the statement or concept that you believe in so strongly that you

will dedicate your existence to it? Is it compassion, empowerment, protection,

or love? Is it gentleness, wisdom, lightheartedness, or strength? Is it grace,

will, integrity, or optimism?

----

When life starts to pull us down, we don't have to go-we can catch ourselves

to a higher truth,

a happy, healthy idea, and let that hold us up.

---

You have absolute life permission to choose any or all of those words-put

them on the wall,

in a story, in a poem, in your heart-that this is who you are, always.

You are the thinker in your mind. You become what you see. See yourself as

these things,

because you are these things. Even in a cloudy March, and even in November.

----

The freedom to choose happiness at every moment is our right. It is also

our right to walk

away from anything that might try to steal our happiness from us.

It isn't always easy, by any means, to lay down our bad feelings, memories,

circumstances,

but when we do, we find that freedom, happiness, comfort, were there behind

everything, all

along. It was always ours, it didn't leave us. It was and is there waiting

for us, if we can just

give ourselves permission to turn around from the sadness, hurt, or anger,

and embrace it.

---

When we take those steps to turn around-to face the sun, not the clouds, we

use those words

as stepping stones.

It is a walk of great power, and I trust the woman that you are, and your

ability to do that.

You say " Let ME tell YOU, life-who I am. I am compassion. I am gentleness,

I am strength, I am love, I am grace, will, integrity. I am strong, and

successful. THIS and

only this, is who I am. Noone defines me except me. I say who I am.

I know who I am. I trust who I am. I love who I am. I choose to gift

myself with happiness,

love, gentleness, compassion, strength, success. It is my right, and my

desire and my

choice to give these things, and all good things, and only good things, to

myself, always.

---

This may not be the right time to be funny, but I feel tons better! lol.

Love you,

in Ma.

,

WOW!! Can I have permission to use this, too? I think my niece could use

some of your words of wisdom to Chantelle.
