Guest guest
We are in the process of looking into a different school for . There is a school for the deaf here in New York. It is a private school, but funded by the state (A 4201 school). Three year's ago they would not take b/c she required a nurse. Now we are looking at it again. THey tell us the same thing. THey will nto take her w/ a nurse. Our district is willing to pay for the nurse, but they said they cannot allow that. There are 11 schools under this section: A 4201 school, private, but funded by the state. So if they are funded by the state, how can they descrimniate? Sevral year's ago we spoke to our senator about this and he said he would help us fight it, but do we want her in a school that doesent want her? At the time we said he was probably right. However, we need to make some changes. Her school is not doing the job. ANy comments about pushing for this? We don't want to start with this unless we are sure we want to go all the way. Our options are limited. Thanks - Cathie mom to CHARGE 11 yr old

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone.
