Guest guest
Ok so my last lab tests were: ft3 was 4.0 (2.3-4.2) ft4 was 1.1 (.7-1.5) TSH 0.01 This seems to pretty good and stable doesn't it? I've been at this level for about 18 mo, maybe a little more. My thyroid antibodies however are really high.... 2500 (<40), even though my TSH has been supressed, which the Dr. was a little puzzled over. And my morning cortisol which keeps coming back low 5.8 (6-28) doesn't seem to have a reason. My ACTH (is that right?) level came back on the low end of the normal range, which my Dr. said means my body isn't asking for more cortisol (why not?). As for the cortisol, is this just something I can remedy with lifestyle changes? What would help? If I don't get at least 8 hours of sleep I just drag all day. Yet getting that much eludes me most of the time. Even with 8 hours, it's really hard to get up in the morning.
Guest guest
If your body is not asking for more cortisol, wouldn't that mean that there's something wrong with the hypothalamus, the part that does the asking? Has the doctor not suggested this? Thyroid hormones----Do you know anything about the genetic testing for Resistance to Thyroid Hormone (body cellular resistance, as in the alpha and beta receptors right at the site of each and every cell, or in certain body parts)? From what I've read, the pituitary can be one of the main parts to be resistant to it. Did you see my post about this? Aren't you on ALL Armour? The only way I see the Resistance treated is with nutritional means AND T3 flooding. lab tests with ranges Ok so my last lab tests were: ft3 was 4.0 (2.3-4.2) ft4 was 1.1 (.7-1.5) TSH 0.01 This seems to pretty good and stable doesn't it? Guest guest
: Usually a low morning cortisol will make you have a very hard time getting up in the morning. No mystery there. YES..there are things you can do to help out your levels: Suggestions are to stay away from too much t3, caffeine, and stressful people and situations. REST when you are tired and when you are hungry...EAT. Its good to work out a bit, but not too much. Also, vitamin C and a protein drink might be in order. These things are good for the adrenals, as is borage oil, isocort, and other herbs. You don't say what other symptoms you have, but they might be helfpul in building a strategy here. Just because those thryoid labs lookd " stable " doesn't necessarily mean they are perfect for you. ~E:) --- marin@...> wrote: > > > If your body is not asking for more cortisol, > wouldn't that mean that there's something wrong with > the hypothalamus, the part that does the asking? > Has the doctor not suggested this?
