Guest guest
It seems that every since I was diagnosed with T2, my skin - primarily my face - seems to be extremely dry. Anyone else experience this - and is there anything other than the " usual " moisturizers that help better than others? I usually don't experience this kind of dry skin except in winter. Help! Guest guest
Hi Carla, I have extremely sensitive skin. It is very dry too. My daughter in law is an esthetician (does facials in a spa in Arizona) She told me that the reason my skin is so dry is because I do not drink enough water. Someone posted on a site that your body needs more water when you have diabetes. Maybe that is part of the problem. I also use a skin care line called Eminence. It is made in Hungary and from rose petals. It is not cheap, but does a great job on my face. I have no more dry patches on my face. I just bought from QVC, Joan Rivers foot cream. I used it only once and my feet felt a lot better. I will have to see what happens. Good luck and let us know if you find something else that works. Guest guest
I use a product called " Bag Balm " on my feet, being careful not to get in between my toes. I found out about this stuff years ago when I had a horse. I used to have to go to a tack shop to buy it but somes stores are now selling it. The best price has been WalMart. I think I paid @ $6.00 last time and you don't need much. It comes in a green square tin. If I use something else for a few days I notice a difference. > > Hi Carla, > > I have extremely sensitive skin. It is very dry too. Guest guest
I used this a lot when I worked in the geriatric field. It is excellent for dry skin and just to keep the skin lubricated(not my first choice of words). When I worked the nursing homes it was often times the first line of defense against decubitis ulcers. I have seen it at GNC as well as Walmart, and Walgreens. Not sure of the prices though. Good tip Marie! > > > > Hi Carla, > > > > I have extremely sensitive skin. It is very dry too.
