Guest guest
This is for anyone who lives in the Boston area. A friend of my sister's has bone & brain mets. Vicki is originally from the UK but got sponsored to work in Boston as a social worker. Her mother from the UK has been here to help her out. Vicki had a hip replacement (due to bone mets - she's in her early 40s), and is on the 3rd floor (no elevator). After several months in the hospital & rehab she's back home and would like to keep it that way, but her mother's VISA is about to expire. Vicki's mom had come last fall, and when she applied for a VISA extension got turned down, and had to go back to England, then return in Dec. after Vicki's hip replacement. So they're worried that her VISA extension will be turned down again. The only suggestion I had was to contact her social worker. Anyone else have any ideas? Do you think she needs to contact a lawyer? Anyone know of a visa lawyer? -
