Guest guest
A troll? On your chest... doing a jig?? I'll spare you the visual I got from that! *woah* hehehe How soon after you dosed did he 'show up'? Just trying to see if there is a direct correlation between the dose and the dance.... ....how long did he stick around after the dose, or did he stay for dessert?? I'm laughing to hard to type!!! hehehehe Topper () On Sat, 10 Feb 2007 09:45:20 -0800 (PST) E Gillespie lyongillespie@...> writes: > Thanks Topper... Guest guest
Topper: Well...it is pretty funny. You know its hard to come up with the 'scientific " verbiage on this kind of action! Actually..I have the thing all day, but I don't wake up with it so bad. It only gets bad after I take my first dose...and stays with me to bed. I did reduce my Armour intake five days ago, and the sleep thing is getting better. I had no broken sleep last night for the first time in a few days. AS you know sometimes its a neighbor interupption thing...sometimes its me. Not always easy to tell the difference. I should think in another week...the jig will get a little more mild if I keep going with my lower dose of Armour. ~E:) --- topper2@... wrote: > A troll? Guest guest
It is hard to come up with the term... and I might have been mean to tease you, I'm sorry about that... .. but the visual.. and how accurately it describes what I've had myself.. it just 'fit'..... Okay... so it's kicking in right away in the morning.. think of it and your dose... you wake... you dose... how much time after dosing does the troll start dancing? What is your first dose and how much? What I'm wondering is if this is an adrenal thing in ADDITION to the dose.... We are both dealing with inconsiderate night noise.... that wakes us..... then there is the anticipatory adrenal waking.. when you get a lot of inconsiderate night noise waking, sometimes the adrenals will pick up on ANYTHING, expecting it to be that inconsiderate noise... .... stress factor... do you follow? When the adrenals readjust and get to more consistent firing.. that's when we get to have a better waking up.. and a better shutting down/going to sleep. Have you been monitoring waking temp? How has that been looking? Has it gone up a bit, stays pretty consistent, or varies? You and I may end up comparing notes as far as dealing with the night noise.... I for sure hope that your's can be fixed... mine, not much hope of that for a while..but it might be of benefit to be able to compare notes with getting around the 'startled wake' thing happening.... I'm rambling.. I'll shush.... I'm watching " Signs " I love this movie!!! Check the clock and then I remember I feel like a slug and it will take a lot of effort to move. THEN..it occurs to me that the troll is kicking..and that as soon as I take my first dose of 30 mgs HE sure will. > > What I'm wondering is if this is an adrenal thing in > ADDITION to the > dose.... YES...my adrenals tested high first thing in the AM...and that correlates to my energy level. I have more energy to wash dishes and clean and stuff first thing usually...IF I don't have a horrible migraine. NOW....if you care to entertain something new...namely my theory... I think that adrenal reaction is a sign that one is taking too much thyroid med ESPECIALLY if one never had signs like this before taking the medication. LIKE in my case. I HAVE never felt this kind of thing before and gather pretty much its ADRENAL. When I run into it...I know that a med tweak, reduction is in order. I've been trying to get away from this particular episode for about two months..which is about the same time the REAL...actual potent t4 probably started to build and take hold. SO...it all kind of adds up. I SHOULD think that I can..(if I wanted to) keep tweaking that Armour down...making sure I don't lose too much ground with the t4..side, OR....I could even reduce the ARmour down to say 15...or 30 mgs...and if it shows itself to take me HYPO...I could take some adrenal support isocort. (isocort makes me break out) Either way...I think I could get better, but I think FOR me...I want to mess with just the thyroid stuff for now. The noise is a problem if I am reluctant to go to bed..thinking I'll only be tortured by it or, if I do fall asleep and it wakes me up..too early after staying up late trying to avoid it. I'll probably make some fire and brimstone happen this week, if this continues. I think I'm close..so close to being in a good sleep rythem...with the worste of what is the adrenal stuff peaking out this week before my week old tweak takes hold. You are gonna have to do things different from me...I feel so bad for you. I wish could help. Maybe when I get a little better I can some how... Signs is AWESOME... ~E:) > > We are both dealing with inconsiderate night > noise.... that wakes us..... > then there is the anticipatory adrenal waking.. when > you get a lot of > inconsiderate night noise waking, sometimes the > adrenals will pick up on > ANYTHING, expecting it to be that inconsiderate > noise... .... stress > factor... do you follow? > > When the adrenals readjust and get to more > consistent firing.. that's > when we get to have a better waking up.. and a > better shutting down/going > to sleep. > > Have you been monitoring waking temp? Guest guest
I had an awesome sleep last night... I decided to go to bed and 'pretend' that I was someplace else... So much of the 'intrusion waking' stuff ends up being anticipatory.. you end up going to bed with an attitude. I turned up my white noise... I snuggled down into bed.. and I told myself a story... in a soft whisper voice (don't go fallen on the floor laughing) I was setting myself up for a dream.. and sure enough.. I fell asleep and the story I started with is the dream that I continued on with.... I woke to roll over once during the night and then just a few minutes before the alarm would have gone off. I woke up feeling REALLY good this morning.. for a change... Got a bit over 7 hours of sleep... so nearly double what I get a lot of nights.... I'm glad that you're okay with the Troll description/definition.. if fits so well we may just have to keep using that one.... ehehehe Topper ()

BUT...I still jumped in the shower, and took my three melatonin drops, and ate a couple crackers. I didn't even get through Saturday Night Live 12;30 AM.....and I was out like a light. (I know I have an odd ritual, but the hot shower helps to sooth the muscles) I just woke up at 8:45 am....which is a pretty good sleep. THIS has been for TWO nights in a row!!!! Whhhhooooohhhoooooo! I've had a VERY rough week staying here and getting woken up and then staying at Ma's and getting killed by the forced heat, waking up with headbangers that lasted all day. Maybe today, If I go on Troll-strike (aka..skip the armour for today, and maybe a reduction just for a couple days)...I'll get back into a flow. Its really pretty funny...that I don't have any other really hyper symptoms, no shaking or anything, just this chest palply jiggy thing. I think this means I'm close, but no cigar yet. HeHe..... My head is still kind of strange though...I feel kind of headachey and kind of spacey still. THAT aggrivates me to no end. I think I am thinking clearer....even if I still go in circles. LOL No matter what...I have to keep telling myself, I'm better than this time last year, and I just have to be on the last leg of the journey. Every now and again I hear a little of my real personality come out...and I get all excited... ~E:) > > I decided to go to bed and 'pretend' that I was > someplace else... Guest guest
You can safely freeze milk, thaw and use.... it's a way that I often stored milk when I didnt' use much at one time.... Now I use powdered. Just put the frozen milk in the fridge and let it thaw, make sure that if the container is split that it's in a bowl or something big enough to catch what leaks out... Then when it's all thawed give it a stir or shake and it's good to go. Don't let it thaw out on the counter or table.. if you forget and it warms up it can go bad. .. that is not a good thing. I don't like to get my hair wet before bed, it's long and ends up being damp all night... and I wake up looking really strange... but I do like to do sponge baths before bed... with a nice smelling soap, and combining that with the MLD massage I do for my lymph... it's very soothing, and for me, mellows me to be ready to be all comfy and cozy for sleeping. Your goofy head feeling.... are you getting enough water..? I feel like that if I'm not drinking enough.. especially on winter mornings... all the moisture loss during the night in the dry air and not drinking anything all night... Guest guest
That is exactly my problem with the Armour, it is way too fickle for me. I'd rather run and 90% most days than to go back and forth all the time. I'm getting stable again now. It's not perfect, but it's predictable... Guest guest
Describe your skin wrinklies.. I'm not getting a picture forming in my mind.... Used to take milk camping like that, frozen... saved space in the cooler..the milk was frozen in ziplock bags and taken out as needed, in the mean time it was also the ice that kept the food cold!! hehehehe The troll needed a break.. but I'd venture this is an issue where your heart just wasn't used to what was going on.... take it slower and give it a bit more time to adjust... . I get this sometimes and always atributed it to lack of water. usually the water gets rid of it, but sometimes only the pills do. cool.
