Guest guest
hi everyone its lori again, I am still waiting for medicaide, or to be approved through shands charity for my biopsy, but I have some questions, did anyone run fever's with this stuff, and suddenly start getting cold sores when they had always been immune to them? I am still very tired every day, no appetite till I smell food, then am full when I try to eat, my left arm and left breast are still swollen, and my arm is weaker. A lady from the susan komen foundation did finally call aand talked to my mom, she told my mom to take me to the emergency room, but I just can't bring myself to go through another doctor giving me h--- for being in his emergency room. I got a letter today from medicaide, for a phone appointment today I got the letter at 5:00 p. m. and the appt. was for 2:00 p. m. says if I didn't keep the appt. my case would be denied or closed, I wonder if that counts when you get notice after the appt. time? No- one called at 2:00 today, or at all today. I used to have an immunity to cold sores, my late husband got them all the time but I have never had one until a couple weeks ago, and then again yesterday. I run a low grade temperature every night. I don't know what to think anymore. I do appreciate the one ladies suggestion about writing letters, I am doing that and at the moment I have a whole notebook of stuff on my medical stuff. I also have very dense breast. well I'll check tomarrow for answer's after I try to call the medicaide people again. I am really tired tonight, boyfriend wanted whole house cleaned today for when his uncle comes to visit tonight or tomarrow. no he didn't help either, he went hunting with his friend 3 hours ago. goodnight Hugs Lori ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for earth-friendly autos? Guest guest
Lori, First of all if you re feeling that bad you have no business cleaning the house. If the uncle doesn't like the condition of it then let him go to a motel or meet your boyfriend somewhere else. I am not trying to be mean but you need to take care of YOU. I agree you need to go to the ER. Something is not right. How about taking your Mom with you? I know if our daughter was in the position you were in I would be there with her and heaven help anyone that said a cross word to her. I will keep you in my prayers. Guest guest
Lori: My left arm and my left breast were very sore and swollen after the biopsy. It is a major trauma to your body. I had scar tissue from a breast reduction that turned from white to a horrible brown color. Found out at the time of my mastectomy that that was because there was bleeding from the biopsy and inflamation. You don't have to put up with the doctor from hell. Ask for the Patient Advocate to be there when you go. Medicaid program is the best program. Stand you for yourself, Girlfriend. You are worth it. Just an aside: I would be finding a new boyfriend. If he can go hunting, he can help clean the house for his uncle. You need to rest. Keep your chin up. Be thinking about you. Guest guest
Jan, I haven't had a biopsy done yet. Still fighting with shands to get seen, and still trying to get medicaide. The medicaide people sent me a letter for a telephone interview, where I was supposed to call them for yesterday at 2:00 p. m. and I got the letter at 5:00 p. m. Have been trying to call them all morning. As for the boyfriend he didn't get home till 10:00 p.m. by then I was so exhausted I was in bed trying to go to sleep. He was angry I did not cook any dinner I just ignored him, then he got mad that one of our dogs was in bed with me so he slept on the couch. The dog, Colby is a papillon, looks like a Chihuahua with long hair, he is pretty small, I gotta go important phone call. Hugs Lori Re: prior to difinitive diagnoses ? Guest guest
Jan, I live in Florida, I am keeping the dog, He is a lot of comfort. spoiled too. hard to get much sleep at night though between him and my boyfriend, they're bed hogs :)LOLYesterday was a good day, felt so so, hard to eat now have cold sores at both corners of mouth, so hurts to open it , or smile. My boyfriends cousin treated us to bowling last night, with him, his daughter another cousin and thier 4 kids, and another guy that is like family and his 3 kids. It was good, I came in second place, had to use a kiddie ball though. I haven't been anywhere but doctors offices, health dept., and stuff like that in so long . It was good to get out of the house. well gotta go oh, talked to the lady who sets up the appts, for the breast cancer clinic, I was approved for the hospitals charity program and as soon as thier radiologist reads my films, which I had to take to them friday, then they'll schedule an appt. she said it will probably be next week that they do a biopsy, and all that stuff. Seems I am finally going to get some treatment for this mess. The doctors offices in georgia are the ones who destroyed my records, but have found out they do the same thing here in florida after 7 years so I think it may be a federal law that they only have to keep them 7 years. Guest guest
Lori: I live in Kansas, so would not be much help to you. Glad that you finally get some assistance. In Kansas, and I think in other states there is a federal law or program or something called Early Detection or Wellness Program that I went through and am going through. It is basically funded by Medicaid, too. It also in my state covers cervical cancer as well. It covered the cost of the mammogram, the ultrasound, all surgeries, all treatments, if any had been required, and will pay for all medications. It has truly been a blessing from God. I always wondered what my money went for when I was working and now I know. Definitely keep the dog. The boyfriend sounds like he is already in the doghouse. LOL Take care and let me know how the biopsy goes.
