Guest guest
Where do you live? In Minnesota MCHA picks up 80% of my insulin costs. Currently my largest costs are my health insurance premiums which are $1,200 quarterly and my 200 One Touch Test Strips which cost me $35 per month. Spend only $18 per month on my Humalog and Lantus insulins. Wish all my costs were that low. Guest guest
Tim, My insurance is $301 per month My medications are $143,50 per month My insulin is $20.00 per month My pump supplies are $34.00 per month My doctors are running $40.00 per month $538.50 total and I am not on Medicare. In fact when I go on Medicare next year I will have no further benefits than I already have from my HMO insurance. I paid all that money to Medicare and get no benefit. Guest guest
I have to pay $522+ per month with a $1000 deductible. Then they pay 80% until I reach another amount which I have never figured out what that is. Then they pay 100% except for things they don't cover like vaccinations. I live in MN. too and am 62. Myprescriptions for all my meds is around $600 a month. Lois Re: Insulin costs.. Where do you live? In Minnesota MCHA picks up 80% of my insulin costs. Guest guest
Cat, I went there and they wanted info on me etc. Do you get spam, or ads or pop ups? I'd like to try it but don't want any more stuff appearing on my monitor! JUDITH > Wow Sue sounds like you need some clarification! Guest guest
Hi everyone, My name is Teri, I am new to this group. I have Type II diabetes. Currently I am on Lantus (100 units a day) and Humalog (60 units a day). I had no idea how I was going to pay for the insulin but was lucky enough to find out about pparx.org. I am currently getting both insulins for free. Forgive me if this site has been mentioned before. I have not read through everything. I am also taking Metformin which is rather costly. I recieve a huge discount from Advantage Wellness of America. Im not trying to advertise for either of these companies but both have helped me greatly. If you have not already I encourage anyone to check them out. I hope to have some time to read a bit more on the board and join in on some discussions. This topic caught my eye and I thought I would throw that in and introduce myself.
Guest guest
Thanks! I've lost 30+ lbs on my own in the past 5 months and my nutritionst member of my endo team is worried that is too much to loose too fast. But I want to loose 20 more the same way. This might help keep track? I keep a log of what I eat, when, calories and carbs now. And also BS#s so I can see what I'm doing. That little book(s!) go everywhere with me. But I can see how a PC program might help... thanks again. JUDITH > I use fitday.com everyday. I receive no spam, ads or popups. I have lost 14 pounds in 3weeks. I have dropped one of my diabetic meds and lowered my insulin. I am not a share holder, I am just a believer. in Ohio -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
, I guess everything balances out in the end. My insurance is $400 per month. My meds are only $63 per month. Doctors visits are $500 annually for four visits. That's it for me.
