Guest guest
I have an appointment tomorrow at the Cancer hospital and I am kind of nervous I had a mastectomy for IDC comodor type which I was told is the most aggressive on December 8th my local DR did not do node testing He stated he had no evidence that it was invasive so he did not do them After surgery he told me I needed an oncologist for follow-up I contacted the They were concerned because the nodes were not done so they sent for the slides and tissues I was suppose to have the appointment for the oncologist on the 8th They called shortly prior to that and told me the DR received the slides and she was concerned about it being invasive so she sent the slides to her pathologist for further testing and they changed my appointment until tomorrow So I find out what needs done tomorrow today I feel tied up in knots I guess for myself the not knowing is worse than knowing I can deal with what I know I have to but the not knowing is dreadful Wanda

Guest guest
Wanda, Soooo glad that someone is following up on the nodes and the pathology of your mast. Isn't waiting just the worst!!! At least when we " know " the results, there's a plan - waiting is just awful. I'll keep you in my prayers for good luck tomorrow. On Dec. 12 I had a bilateral mastectomy. My right breast was riddled with *lots* of cancer. The left one had only had three DCIS's that had all but disappeared during chemotherapy. My doc did a sentinel node biopsy on BOTH breasts. She wanted to know the node status of the DCIS one as well. Are you going to the breast center in Dublin, or main campus in Columbus? If you are going to Dublin, check out Hope's Boutique. It's a breast cancer store in the same complex. -Frances -- -Frances Bartels *** ki0dz@... Guest guest
Wanda: You aren't alone. Not knowing is always worse. The imagination does funny things. Having gone through the mastectomy is bad enough. Did the doc not do the sentinental node injection, etc.? I would really be angry with the doc, if it were me. He could have saved you a lot of anxiety. Sometimes the medical profession just doesn't make since. I guess that is why what they do is called a " practice " . Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know when you find something out.
