Action Alert from the National Coalition on Deafblindness! Deadline March 13

Dear CHARGE listers,

Great news. We have a champion in the House (Congressman Ed Markey)

who is leading an effort to increase funding for the deafblind

technical assistance and dissemination program at the Department of

Education. His office will spearhead sending a group letter to the

Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee asking for the

increase in funding.

We need your help! Please call or email your congressperson and ask

him or her to sign onto the group letter supporting more funding for

the deafblind technical assistance and dissemination program at the

Department of Education. Here is what they will need to know:

Congressman Ed Markey (D-MA 7th) is leading the group letter in the

House. The staff person coordinating the sign-on letter is Katharine

Reinhalter. The deadline for signing onto this letter is Tuesday,

March 13, 2007.

Please call today! The deadline is fast approaching. Please let us

know if your congressperson agrees to sign onto the letter. Thanks.
