Guest guest
Ok, this is kinda long so sorry in advance. Lets see prelude: My fiancee () lost his job last Friday. It was a combo of politics and personal vendetta. (His ex-boss happens to be our former landlord who sued us. Two weeks ago we counter-sued. What a coincidence huh?) He was a 911 dispatcher. Ok Well, he found a new job Monday and started Tuesday. Well its only half of what he was making before. So we have been pretty worried how we will make it, survive etc etc. I have been out of test-strips and things have been stressed to say the least. Well, he got his next to last paycheck to today. So when he got home from work, we went to WalMart to do some shopping. Well, we got home and i had to run to the restroom and said he would carry in the groceries. Well, im in the restroom and hear voices. (Keep in mind this is 11:00pm) and there shouldnt be anyone to talk to. So i hear the word money and i freak out think he is getting robbed. So i run out of the restroom and see him standing at the door alone, but a man walking down the walkway. Im like what happened. And tells me what happened. This man walked up and said " I know this is going to sound crazy, but I'm not crazy. My wife and I were praying and the Lord said you needed help and to bring this to you " He then hands a bank envelope. The guys then says he doesnt want anything in return and then turns walks down the walkway, gets into his car and drives off. So we open the envelope and there is like $102 in it. We are absolutly flabbergasted. We have no idea who his guy was or anything. We just stood there with our jaws dropped. So all i know is we are very thankful for the money it will help alot. Guest guest
A few years ago I would have laughed at this story but something kind of like that happened to my husband and I around 1994. My husband had just gone on early retirement and we decided to go on a long trip to the US to visit 2 of our children who lived there. So we left Toronto right after Christmas and headed west. We stopped in Salt Lake and stayed there for a few days and left, as our final destination was Austin, Texas to visit one of our son who was going to school there. We visited the Grand Canyon. Finally after several days we reached the heart of Texas. After staying in Austin for 2 weeks and enjoying some great BBQ, we decided to head home to Canada. Our next main stop was to be Memphis to worship at the shrine of Elvis. At a point in our journey we stopped at a truck stop to get gas. I went inside to get a pop and pumped the gas. As I entered the store I noticed an exhibit of angelic knick knacks and I stood in front of it for a minute or two. All the while I was thinking, I wonder if there is truth to the story of having guardian angels in the catholic tradition. Soon I moved on to the postcard rack to choose some to send to my sisters in France. My husband finally caught up to me and said you won't believe this but an anonymous person paid for our tank of gas. When he went to pay the cashier told him that the gas was paid. He insisted that he had not paid but she would not hear about it. I started laughing and said to my husband we have been the victim of a Random Act of Kindness or the angels heard me and played a prank at our expense. Two weeks ago while I was recuperating at home from my emergency surgery I was looking outside the window and thinking this is annoying I won't be able to go strawberry picking. Two hours later the doorbell rings and here stands a young woman from our church with a basket of freshly picked strawberries. She hands it to me and embarassed that I am still in my houscoat I tell her of my trials. Noone had told her about my ordeal but here she was fulfilling my wish. I wonder who whispered in her ear? le

Sara, I truely believe there are angels around us. God knows what we need before we need it. Whether it was an angel or not, you might never know. What I do know is that God met your need. :-) I know sometimes in my case, I don't even think to pray and ask, and things happen to help me make it. BTW.. we have groups here in Louisville called Cheapcycle, and Freecycle. on Yahoo. We buy, sell, trade, give away and receive things to keep them from filling up dumps or us having to haul them to dumps or whereever to dispose. I have been so blessed in giving away tons of things I no longer need to people who needed what I have and.. also have posted things I needed and more times than not, someone responds that has it. I have even found test strips on there before when I ran low. Some people change machines and have lots left over, esp. if they have insurance like medicare to pay for them. I just wanted to mention that. Guest guest
Yeah, he was. Their official reason was that they didnt have to give him a reason. although he told me during the meeting it was said like 2 dozen times that us suing the boss had " nothing " to do with this. They also had a list of stuff he supposedly did, but they wouldnt show it to him or tell him what was on it. SO, i guess things will work out, He is also an EMT. And has found a job he LOVES. He is now saying they did him a favor. It's half the pay, and long hours, but he loves what he is doing. > Okay. So, he probably was still on probation, then.
