Guest guest
We did GF/CF soy free, Feingold egg free for 1 month he said to eliminate any outside interferance( neuroexictants like preservatives, additives gluten is very neuro exicitatory, as is casein)then: All products were Kirkman's(not a plug by the way) Nu-thera one capsule in the morning one in the evening TMG one in am one in PM If TMG doesn't help do DMG ingredients are from beets lowers homocystein levels in blood Folinic acid 800 mcg one am one pm(methylated folic acid, easier to absorb than folic, no steps needed to break it down) Zinc one teaspoon daily at bedtime away from proefa dosing, inhibits absorption of both Magnessium citrate powder, one teaspoon I gave 1/2 in am 1/2 in pm very calming, also promotes daily bowel movement, Proefa 3 capsules daily( Ihad been giving him 2 a day, he said to increase dose) Now from what he told me, all of these supplements are co factors in normal metabolism, for whatever reason (vaccines, environment, genetics) developmentally delayed children are not functioning up to par, there systems are haywire, these products are needed to push the cycles into normalcy, help them digest and process amino acids, metabolize carbohydrates, lipids etc. After my son's testing came back, we added extra methyl b12 , (already in Nu-thera, but he needed higher dose because his was just floating around in his blood and not getting into his brain and spinal cord. Two months ago he added creatine 2 capsules which helped tremendously w/balance muscle tone and motor planning. Next visit we will be getting results back on why his cholesterol level was so low or if it has normalized. It was 132 at the begining of supplements. Chol/HDL was 2.4 normal is 3.4-9.6 Kirkman's Nu-thera was developed specifically for people w/neuro type deficiencies, Down's syndrome, ALzheimers, parkinson's, autism, MS a higher ratio of methylated b vitamins than your over the counter b supplements, it is already ready for absorption, no extra work for the body to breakdwon and convert etc. Hope this helps, Colleen > > > What suppliments did your allergist put your son on? Guest guest
When you go back will he change your regiment? Is this something you will keep going back and redoing. Or is this a regiment you will stay on for a while? Will your child start producing on his own or will you have to give suppliments for the rest of his life? Thanks for the info. Guest guest
Pam, When I first went to this doctor, he said it would take best part of a year to undo whatever is screwing up his system. So far up until August the only thing he added was the creatine, which he told me you will see an increase in coordintaion, and muscle strength, he said I could go up to 3 grams of creatine, but I opted for a slow approach, and am very pleased with doing just the one gram, so basically since June all has been the same,(forgot adding extra methyl b12 in July). Each month we go and get blood test done every other month to see if his system is at it's optimal, the goal is is to get his system to do it on it's own. Each time we go, he asks what improvements I have seen gives me a questionaire to fill out and return next visit to evaluate what might be done next visit, if anything. And in my mind I would keep him on it until all of his development was complete, but it is a good question and I am going to ask when we go in two weeks.
