Guest guest
Sorry !! Woops didn't mean to go ALL crytpic on ya or anything. I think the reason my nails are peeling off and the nail beds are burning is because of the chlorine in the water. ITS got to be something that hit since I've moved here. THE water is much harder and I feel like it ACTUALLY stings like ACID, which continues to EAT into me after I am away from the water. I have been thinking it was my imagination..but my nails all bent backwards and now some of the nails are half missing. THEY kill. EVEN at my most hypo..did my nails do such odd things. I think if this is the reason...water filters on the taps and shower nozzel will help. DOES anyone here have any experience with these things? ~E:) --- marin@...> wrote: > Filters for what, E!!??? Guest guest
We had this happen at one of the houses we lived at before... does this new place have galvanized pipes? They were oh about 1/4-1/2 way clogged (like arteries) with sludge and rust and what not.... whenever I got near it or anything rusty, I have problems. Have you thought of testing the water? Some universities will do it for free. Good luck and keep me updated. oh, is it just the water itself or is it only with soap?? what else..*thinking*..errmm.... that is how i acted before i got highly chemical sensitive for a while. have you been exposed to any harsh chemicals or any chemicals over a slow period of time? heh, that's anyone anymore, right? lol you may need a reverse osmosis filtering system, they're a bit expensive but are lifesavers for people who are chemically sensitive. Guest guest
You're not by yourself on this one, E. Everytime the water has been " recharged " with more chlorine or whatever it is they do to it, I get these stinging sensations the whole time the showever water is hitting me. And the water is NOT hot, it's only warm. I've never been more sure that that is what it is doing this. Also, like you, I spend the next 24 hrs with racing stinging, itching feelings that do not have anything to do with dry skin itch. It's just plain weird, makes me sooo nervous to where I can't even concentrate. This hasn't happened for several wks, but just wait, it WILL start again, and it's always right in concert with the new chlorine smell in the water, after they switch back over from one reservoir to the other, while doing all this stuff to the water treatment. I would find out if they are switching you from one reservoir to the other, maybe by calling the city or something. Guest guest
that is exactly what used to happen to me!! as soon as we moved to a different house, it stopped. definitely something going on with the pipes/water in the current place. don't be surprised if you have problems with other chemicals to.
