Guest guest
WHen was your dx? Mine was May 8th...Had the lumpectomy may 1st and of course found out results the 8th,,the 11 went back to get nodes just 3 though and marigins around where to tumor was! breast was clear but one trace also in one node!! was your BC ductual or lobular? Mine was invasive lobular. HOwever I had 4 rounds of a/c 14 days apart and then was suppose to do taxotere 4 rounds but first taxotere went awfull so they switched me to taxol,,,it wasn't much better but at least it is over with!!! 33 rads the last 8 were boost! Breast ended up pretty crispy!!!! lol but it has peeled now and even the blue dye around the nipple is allmost gone!!!! My last chemo was Oct 3, last Rad was Dec 4th. So you have been on femera since NOv.and not to many problems yet!? that is good keep me posted will ya, Like I said earlier I have appt. the 23 with my oncon. We shall see what he wants me to do then,,,,still am not sure I will do the inhibitors. Supposedly with invasive lobular carcinoma it's reoccurance is a lot less than the other BC's. GOd bless and I hope you will have no problems with the femera!!! oh I am 55 by the way!!! Turned 55 June 3! Steph
Guest guest
I had a annual physical on 10/16/05 (had been 3 years since my last one and stupid me, didn't want to go until I had lost some weight). My doctor didn't feel any lumps when she did the manual exam. She did schedule me for my mammogram but things came up and so I didn't have it when I was suppose to. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I felt a lump, it was as if one day it wasn't there and then it was. I had also started a weight loss program and had lost 20lbs in 1 month (something that my doctor attributed to as not noticing any lump during her exam. Mind you I never thought it was her fault, but really my boobs weren't large at all. I could understand if she was referring to my hips!!). I had my mammo on Dec 28, 2005, my sonogram the first week of January and was scheduled for surgury only to have my insurance company disallow the surgeon because he wasn't in their network. I found another surgeon who was and he was great. The pathology came back 10 days later, and my surgeon immediately put me with my oncologist. I had my lumpectomy Feb 16, 2006 and started my 1st round of Chemo in March, 2006. I finished my last round August 24, 2006. I had radiation with no ill effects. Didn't get tired, didn't have any burning, discomfort or peeling. I am on Herceptin every 21 days until June 2007. I had just turned 53 when I had the lump. --- sjandtj_ve sjandtj@...> wrote: > WHen was your dx? Guest guest
My doctor did not find my lump on a manual exam the end of August. In mid-Nov, the mammogram showed a tumor that was 3cm. I don't blame him for not finding it. Even after I knew exactly where it was, I couldn't feel it either. > > > WHen was your dx?
