Guest guest
Hi Vicky I start my first chemo treatment this week and would love to have a hat or cap. Don't know what to expect at of all of this, just know God will bring me thru and somewhere down the line someone will get a blessing from this. My promise to God was to go thru with a cheerful spirit (all done thru Him) and to let other ladies know that this is doable. If you will send me a personal email will give address. Thanks so much for what you are doing for everyone!! B Tulsa hats and caps If your going thru Chemo and would like a hat or cap. Please e-mail me and I will send you one. Guest guest
Vicky, I think that is great!!! I started chemo last week and have started making hats and other items to pass on to others as well. The Breast Health Care Nurse was delighted that my friends and I are starting this here in Columbus. There are the usual clinics but if I can give back some of what I have recieved then it is all good! God Bless! Val

Guest guest
I'm a " knitter-er " (what some of my students call me), and I made all of my own caps...great excuse to knit! Now I have the sad pleasure (an oxymoron, I know) of making some beanies for one of the students at my school. He has just been diagnosed with leukemia. He's 9 years old, and the guidance counselor has been in touch with his mom who says that his biggest concern is the kids teasing him about being bald. So we're going to be " bald beanie buddies " ! As I've said in a previous post I believe that God puts the right people in the right place at the right time...and it looks like he has put and I together. Even his teachers are cancer survivors. BTW, I had my first A/C 2 weeks ago, and was firmly holding onto my hair until last night. It came out in handfuls when I took my shower, but after my hair dried, I still had a full head of hair! I always knew my hair was thick, but this is ridiculous! (Gut instinct tells me the rest will be going away this weekend. Of course! That's me, waiting until we're having the coldest air of the season...it's 15 degrees out there! YIKES!) Have a great day! I know I will...it's Friday!!!
