Guest guest
I looked over the path report from my biopsies that my surgeon gave me, but I only see mention of the DCIS, IDC, and Type III (based on 8/9 of scoring meitosis, etc.) Is the other information determined from the tissue taken at time of surgery? I know that the state isn't completely determined until they can examine lymph nodes and evaluate if there's been metastasis. Ann

I got those about 3 weeks after the biopsy, while the path report only took about a week.
Guest guest
My estrogen/progesterone status was determined from the biopsy. The Her2 testing, after much reminding and bitching was done on the tumor after mastectomy. The hospital, where I had the mastectomy, was the only one in the area that didn't do it routenely and the surgeon " forgot " to order it so I didn't have it till 5 weeks after surgery. Thanks to me the hospital has come into the 21st century and is doing it on all breast tumors, like the other hospitals!
