lol please jump in any time!!!!! How long had you been taking the

Arimidex before you quit taking it?

I don't want to do the tamoxifin for sure I have heard and know

several women that developed cervical caner from tamoxifin. I still

have all that junk down below!!! lol

Sometimes I think it is a toss of the coin on all this stuff!!! The

more I try and learn the more I am confused!

I have been trying to learn about my dx. invasive lobular carcinoma

with 1 node involved. From what I can understand that ILC is the

least likely to have reocurrance than any other type of cancer. I am

sure going to ask my oncon when I see him the 23! If that is so I

think I will not take an inhibitor!

hi ladies,

yes tis very hard to decide sometimes what to do , take the tamo or armidex, i

had bad reactions on both, tamo made the heart race bad, i must add i have had a

heart attack, and here in australia they will not give u tamo if u still have

you uterus and have not got to menopause, the armidex made me sweat so much like

i was in a sauna, servere nausea, servere bone pain, some heart pallpitations and

we know it causes bone loss, among other things, i have been off them now for

about 6weeks, my doc said to try one every other day, i have always said it is

catch 22 if i take them i am really ill, and if i dont i risk the return of bc ,

just my bit of info on this we all have to make our own. hugs sandy in oz

Back in July, I had a conversation with my then onc and said to him,

" It's a crap shoot isn't it? " , referring to the various therapies.

His reply, " No it isn't a crap shoot we just hope you will be in the

percentage these therapies help. " If that ain't a crap shoot, I don't

know what is!

Hi Steph - I took the Arimidex for about 4 months. As far as the

switch to Tamoxifin, I had a complete hysto in November, so I got

none of that " junk down below " .

I would agree on the toss of the coin - but I'm counting on " heads " !

(as are we all).

Hugs!

Ellen,

I've lost a few friends due to the same type of attitude. I also lost a

sister to the same attitude. Never even came once to see me through my

surgery,

chemo or radiation. In my book, it obviously was all about her. What you

have to realize is, maybe they never were friends in the first place, no

matter how well you thought you knew them. At the same time, I've made so many

new wonderful friends and try not to waste my time on what I possibly I did

wrong with those friendships I've lost...maybe they were afraid of catching it!

LOL

We also have each other, through this wonderful outlet and may we all fill

the void for each other that these ignorant " friends " left behind. We all

have more substance and compassion anyway.

Best,
