Thank you for the warmwelcome back. I have a question

about goiters. When a goiter is developed from the

thyroid where is it located and how fast would it

swell. My Mom who was hyper is now hypo thyroid.

Looks lijke she has a golf ball just behind jaw but in

front of ear. Would it be thyroid or lymph node

related. She is waiting to hear from doc she had a

cat scan today.

Thanks Robin

1:32 pm (PST) Yes, I did!!!

Thanks for keeping an eye on me !!!

It's a Free T3 LOWER in it's range that the Free T4 is

in it's range that

is the red flag for conversion problems....

Whew... I'm glad that we keep an eye out for each

other!!

(PST) No prob Topper, YOU know I'VE

done it myself, lol. Remember way back there,

I was having sooo much brain fog that I posted an

answer or question or

something to THIS forum (with a brand NEW post) that

was actually supposed

to go to another forum? ly, I was so screwed up

that I didn't even

know the difference in what I was seeing on my

computer screen, teehee!

Noone on the Thyroid Support Group even knew what I

was talking about.

Jackie..... You've heard the

expression 'the customer is always right'?

When you go to see the doc, who is the customer?

What are you paying the doctor to do (be it money

directly out of your

pocket or through the insurance company that you pay

premiums to)?

If he isn't doing his job, what should you do about

it?

If you took your car in to get a flat tire fixed and

all the guy did was

add air to the tire and tell you that the whistle

sound of the air coming

out of the nail hole was 'no big deal'.

Would you pay him?

Go back to see him again?

I used to have docs on a pedestal too. Oh my gosh..

they had to go to

college, then med school, the a residency.... they HAD

to be smart,

right?

Ummmm no. Think about when you were in school.... did

everyone in your

graduating class have the same GPA? Was everyone

equally smart? or dumb?

Same for the docs.. there are good ones, there are

analytical ones, there

are empathetic ones, there are selfish egotists, there

are demi-gods and

there are blithering idiots.

Me, no I figure if/when I ever see a doc again I'm

going in with the same

kind of consumer savvy I try to have with anything

else... I want to know

enough about what is going on during this service call

to know if I'm

being given professional and quality service or I'm

being flim flamed for

a fee.

Heck, I wouldn't even mind having a buddy there with

me to make sure that

I don't miss any details...

..... my opinion.....

Come with me!!!! Please!

He is the 5th doctor I am seeing in a year and a half,

I have fired

all the others.

I guess I could just keep moving forward and pick

another one?

I tell ya, when I go in, I am set, with notes and

everything. I am

pretty sensitive to energy, so when he

flies in, talks really fast, types fast and is

whirling in and out, I

guess to make his ten minute timeframe, I feel like i

am

on a beat the clock show. Seems like he is trying to

break his own

record for how fast he can be in and out.

Maybe they even pay them more for that???

All I know is if they took my BP after the visit

instead of before

I'm sure it would be higher.

I posted on my homeschool group if anyone knew of a

Dr. that could

help me with my problem (thyroid) and i got a really

good response,

most with added comments about how they had to go

outside of their

insurance company to finally get help.

Some also recommended books...

<>>

Any thoughts?

I have one about the size of a pea... I think it's a lymph node. Mine swells up when I have an allergic reaction to something and goes down when it goes out of my system... sometimes, sometimes I feel like I am a walking allergen LOL.

(many times adrenalfatigue are a huge part of hypothyroid issues and need to be addressedsimultaneously). I use Dr. 's products and have had a lot ofsuccess with them. One thing many endo's overlook is that people withHashimoto's often need more T3 and MUST take Armour rather thanSynthroid because of the T3 in it. I take Armour AND a sustained releaseT3 tablet 2x a day. This alone made a huge impact on my symptoms. T3 also is significant in helping with the symptoms of puffiness, fatigue, heart disease, sugar balance, bone density, etc. For moreinfo on that read Hypothyroidism Type 2: The Epidemic by MarkStarr.I found that reading Thyroid Power and bringing it tomy endo was a little helpful and he was convinced to make somechanges for me, although he insisted that adrenal fatigue was "not areal syndrome" and wouldnt help me with that and I was still verysymptomatic - hence my finding Dr. Weber.>>>Any thoughts?JackieOn Jan 30, 2007, at 4:12 PM, topper2 (AT) juno (DOT) com wrote:>> Jackie.....
